WAAREE ENERGIES PVT. LTD., a modern, Mumbai based, PV Module manufacturing company, has received approval from the Government of Gujarat, India, to set up a 20 MW Solar PV Power Plant, under the Solar Power Policy 2009 of the State Government of Gujarat.

The proposed Power Plant will be installed and commissioned by end 2011, at an estimated cost of Rs. 300 Crores. (Approximately USD 652 Million). The energy generated shall be fed to the grid of the state power utilities, for which a Power Purchase Agreement will be signed.

In line with its vision to emerge as a leader in ‘Green Power Generation’ WAAREE ENERGIES plans to undertake similar projects in other states in India.
